All Dressed Up

Saturday night and nowhere to go.  At least my nails are ready for a night on the tiles.


I used a base of Barry M Matt White and added the detail with Claire's Two Way Nail Art Pen and Brush in black and white.  For a bit of extra sparkle I added Claire's glitter top coat over the black jacket and bow tie and China Glaze Nova over the white jacket and bow tie.

      Thanks. I found the striper brush really helped to get a good straight line for the jacket. I also watched this tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYDwteRRwNY before I started, which was really helpful.

I'm playing catch up at the moment and this is the prompt for 2 weeks ago, which was food. I wanted to do something a little different so I created a design inspired by the secret rainbow cakes.  Those cakes that are covered in plain icing and look quite simple until you cut into them and the sponge inside is a rainbow of colours, sometimes layered and sometimes swirled.  I went with the swirled option.
