Little Night Flower

This theme had me a bit puzzled but I while watching tv I was struck with an idea.  This is less about me reinventing a design and more about where I am at in my life.  I'm reinventing myself from the 80s, back when I had time to think about make up and nail polish.  In this vein I thought bright colours and bold print and came up with a tiger stripe design over a bright yellow (very 80s). On 24 January I went along to a screening of an independent British film called Emulsion ( http://www.emulsionthemovie.co.uk/ ).  It's a very stylish film noir with a fantastic twist at the end and I left feeling inspired. More details after the jump.

This was a difficult one because I had to choose favourites.  I cheated a little bit as I used acrylic paint as well but my 3 favourite polishes are in there. More details after the jump.

I've skipped over a few prompts as I'm not happy with the designs I created.  I may post them up later but for now I'm just going to concentrate on sharing the ones I really liked before moving onto a new challenge and posting more regularly. It took me a little while to think of something I hadn't already tried and then I realized I hadn't used the saran wrap technique.  This was really easy to do and I rather like the look of the finished effect so I think this will be one I will be using quite a bit in the future. This past year my polish collection has grown at a rather rapid rate.  However I seem to have bought an equal amount of colours but pink won out by one polish. More details after the jump.
