August Tri Polish Challenge Day 4
The final day of this month's challenge and the weather is getting colder and the days are getting shorter. This look was inspired by a comment made by Angie over at Our Painted World http://ourpaintedworld.wordpress.com/2013/08/22/august-tri-polish-challenge-mani-2/
It might be a little early but here are some Autumn/Fall leaves.
My chosen polishes for this month are:
Yellow - NYC - Lexington Avenue
Red - Sally Hansen - Honeymoon Red
Green - Nina - Anaconda Like It
I started this look with a base of two coats of Anaconda Like It. Next I painted leaf shapes onto each nail with Barry M Special Edition 2012 Gold and a small nail art brush. Over each gold leaf I lightly applied Honeymoon Red to give the impression of a leaf changing colour. Once this had dried I used black nail art striper brush from Claire's to draw the vein detail onto each leaf.
I am prepped with a practice hand and false nails to launch myself into my first 31 Day Challenge hosted by Chalkboard Nails. All I need is inspiration for each design. I will hopefully also be taking part in the 33 Day Challenge hosted by The Crumpet which is due to start on 23 September. There is a little over lap but nothing like jumping into something with both feet, but I promise no pictures of my toes!
