31 Day Challenge 2015 - Day 5 - Dotting Tools

I'm playing catch up with this challenge as I've been really busy at work and not had time to edit the pictures and write up the blog posts.  To make up for this I will be publishing a few posts each day this week.

For day 5 I was inspired by the colour combination of two new polishes I bought in the January sales at TK Maxx.

I started with a base of China Glaze Liquid Leather then used a large dotting tool to create the flowers with Ciate Skinny Jeans (blue) and Ciate Kitten Heels (red).

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Food

I'm playing catch up at the moment and this is the prompt for 2 weeks ago, which was food. I wanted to do something a little different so I created a design inspired by the secret rainbow cakes.  Those cakes that are covered in plain icing and look quite simple until you cut into them and the sponge inside is a rainbow of colours, sometimes layered and sometimes swirled.  I went with the swirled option.
