31 Day Challenge 2015 - Day 26 - Fishtail Braid

Image
I really like the look of a fishtail braid and it is a good  chance to try a few different colours together to see how they compliment each other.  I used a combination of a foil polishes and a holographic polish as they dry quickly and give a good level of coverage with just one coat. More details after the jump.

33 Day Challenge - A mani featuring the same pattern in 3 colours

Image
I've skipped over a few prompts as I'm not happy with the designs I created.  I may post them up later but for now I'm just going to concentrate on sharing the ones I really liked before moving onto a new challenge and posting more regularly. Next up a mani with the same pattern in 3 colours: More details after the jump.

33 Day Challenge Day 13 Chinese

Image
I had a lot of ideas for this one but decided to go on a design inspired by embroidered Chinese silk fabric. More details after the jump.

31 Day Challenge Day 31 Honour Nails You Love

Image
I saw the design Chalkboard Nails created for the delicate print day of the challenge and wanted to have a go myself. More details after the jump.

33 Day Challenge - Day 2 - Most Used Colour Polish

Image
After much consideration I decided my most used colour polish was NYC Lexington Yellow.  This is my go to yellow polish and there has been quite a bit of yellow used for various challenges recently. Something quick and quirky for today. More details after the jump.

31 Day Challenge Day 23 Inspired by a Movie

Image
Phew, having a bit of a blogging frenzy this weekend.  As you may have noticed I am also taking part in the 33 Day Challenge organised by the Crumpet's Nail Tarts.  There are only 3 posts a week for this and a small overlap with the 31 Day Challenge but I thought I should stretch myself a little bit.  Hopefully this will inspire me to come up with some new and original designs. My chosen movie for day 23 of the 31 Day Challenge is Despicable Me 2.  Everyone has had a go at painting Minions, but these little guys are just too cute not to try at least once. More details and pictures after the jump.

31 Day Challenge Day 21 Inspired by a Colour and Blog Your Heart Out

Image
This has to be one of the favourite polishes in my collection and blue is my favourite colour.  I wanted to create something simple and delicate. More details after the jump

31 Day Challenge Day 8 Metallic Nails

Image
I thought I would try something a little different for this one.  All but the black are metallic polishes.  More details after the jump.

August Tri Polish Challenge Day 3

Image
I can't believe August is almost over! I've got a couple of more detailed looks to post over the next couple of day but today's mani is a nice quick, simple one. More details after the jump.

August Tri Polish Challenge Day 2

Image
For day 2 of the August Tri Polish Challenge I had a go at painting with polish rather than my usual go to acrylic paint. More details after the jump.

MSMD Monday - Enchanted Fairy Woodland

Image
This is my own simplistic take on the fabulous ArcadiaNailArt's Magical Forest Tim Burton Inspired Nails  http://youtu.be/QXmK_mA237g . More details and lots more pics (I painted both hands again!) after the break.

Funky Friday Nails - Water Marble

Image
I thought I would have a quick go at a water marble. Not quite as successful as I'd hoped but I was in a bit of rush.   I will be doing another look with these colours over the weekend for a special event I'm attending.  I'll post more about that tomorrow. The colours used for this water marble were NYC Faithful Fuchsia, Barry M Spring Green and Collection Go Retro!

Funky Friday Nails - Comic Book

Image
This week I thought I would have a go at recreating the look from these  Model's Own Wah Nails wraps .  Obviously mine don't look as neat and professional as the wraps which, are based on the most popular designs from the Wah Nails Salons, but I was still pleased with how they turned out. More details and pictures after the jump.

Monkey See Monkey Do Monday - Cherry Blossom Nails

Image
After seeing cherry blossom nails all over the place I really wanted to have a go myself but wasn't sure where to start.  I found this Cute Polish tutorial on You Tube ( http://youtu.be/nuc0iNXLZmM ) really helpful but I did change the colours a little bit when I did it myself. Details after the jump.
