Little Night Flower

The prompt for this week's challenge is red and  I had the added pattern stripes. Due to a close family bereavement I haven't had much time for doing my nails over the past few weeks so my designs have all been things which are fairly quick to do.  This week I thought I would do some rustic looking stripes. I'm a little late with this one, but I've been away.  As my son is currently in the Haematology ward my inspiration for Halloween was vampires and in particular the classic black and white horror film Nosferatu. More details after the jump.

I'm a fan of glitter (but not glitter removal) and it is my default topper for a mani, so this one took a bit of time to come up with an idea.  However I really like the finished look.   More details after the jump.

I recently bought some new OPI polishes which I thought would work well for this prompt. However, this did mean I'd have to paint with polish rather than acrylic paint which I usually do.  This is the end result. More details after the jump.

I had a lot of ideas for this one but decided to go on a design inspired by embroidered Chinese silk fabric. More details after the jump.

I'm not really one for sticking things on my nails as I use my hands so much.  Also my nails have quite a curve so getting anything to stay flat on them is a challenge.  I will admit to rushing this one as it's not my thing so I don't have too may supplies available to do any kind of 3D art.  What I did have was a little pot of caviar beads, but rather than plastering them all over the nail I have tried to be a bit more precise with the placement.  Apologies for the quality of the picture with this one too as I couldn't seem to get the lighting right. This week I have been looking at my untried polishes.  I picked up OPI - I have a herring problem from the sale shelf in my local Sally's a while back when I was looking for a neutral colour to wear to work. More details after the break.

I took a less is more approach to the use of the chosen polishes for day 3 of this month's tri-polish challenge. A much darker look for day 2 of the Tri Polish Challenge. I have tried to create a random placement of flowers rather than a uniform look over each nail and I quite like the outcome. More details after the break.

Its that time of the month again where The Crumpet's Nail Tarts are given 3 colours and have to choose a polish to represent each colour.  These three polishes are then used to create 4 different manis with the help of only black, white, silver and gold polish and one of these mani must contain all three polishes together.
