31 Day Challenge - Day 4 - Happiness
What makes me happy? Lots of colour, music and cute things. I have tried to represent these things in this mani. I even managed to take the photo during daylight hours, so the colour balance is a bit better this time.
More details after the jump.
I started with a base of China Glaze White on White so I could keep the background colours light. Next I dry brushed the following Barry M polishes Dragon (pink), Mango (orange), 322 BLE 2013 B (yellow), Greenberry (green), Blueberry (blue). I covered this with a layer of Colour Club top coat to help the colours merge together. I like a bit of disorder and smudging between the colours rather than straight lines so I kept this swirly rainbow effect for the background.
Next I added the Pusheen cartoon on my ring finger, musical notes and headphones using acrylic paints and very fine nail art brushes. In all this happiness I found a tiny bit of sadness. My favourite nail art striper brush is starting to fray at the ends, so I'll have to buy and customise a new brush.
Music is a big part of my life and I have a very large collection. According to iTunes I have 9078 songs and that doesn't include the CDs I haven't got round to adding yet. As my house has thin walls I have a pair of proper over the ear headphones so I can appreciate my music at an appropriate volume without annoying the neighbours. It's not practical for me to have a pet, but I have lost many hours watching cute cat videos online. Well you can't watch just one! Which is why I have a cartoon cat in the mix for this as well.
Everything was covered in a layer of China Glaze Fairy Dust to add a bit of sparkle. Everything is always better with a bit of Fairy Dust!
