31 Day Challenge Day 11 - Polka Dots

This post has taken me quite a while to put together as I wasn't quite happy with the various ideas I came up with for this theme.  While this design could have used a bit more planning it was the best of the bunch.

This look started with a base of two coats of Barry M Gelly Dragonfruit.  The black dots are acrylic paint applied with a dotting tool and the rest of the black detail was painted with a fine nail art brush.  The silver dots are Barry M Silver Foil.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Food

I'm playing catch up at the moment and this is the prompt for 2 weeks ago, which was food. I wanted to do something a little different so I created a design inspired by the secret rainbow cakes.  Those cakes that are covered in plain icing and look quite simple until you cut into them and the sponge inside is a rainbow of colours, sometimes layered and sometimes swirled.  I went with the swirled option.
